Harmony Harmon Rox, a registered quartet with Sweet Adelines International, will be performing at the Allison Public Library Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 5, from 10:30am - 12:00pm. They sing a cappella, four-part harmony arrangements of tender ballads, vivacious uptunes, 50’s favorites, gospel, popular show tunes, jazz, holiday and novelty songs. Their blended chords yield a rich, powerful sound. They strive for high quality while being creative and having fun with the audiences they entertain.

The four members of Harmony Rox are local citizens who are also members of Cedar Harmony Chorus based in Cedar Falls. At regional competition, the quartet placed 4th among quartets from Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois.

Carol Anhalt sings tenor and is from Waverly.  She is retired from banking and is currently the front line Director of Cedar Harmony Chorus.

Carolyn Haller of Cedar Falls sings lead.  She loves to play cards, attend study groups, sing barbershop and church choir music. She is a retired educator.

Linda Podhajsky of Waverly sings baritone.  She is a retired teacher at W-SR, sings in church choir, is section leader and a chorus Board member, and directs hand bells at Trinity Church in Waverly.

Marilynn Buxton of Waverly sings bass.  She also loves singing in church choir, is an author of educational materials, is a retired elementary teacher at W-SR and is section leader in chorus.
